SALT LAKE CITY – May 31, 2016 – When the wins start for Landmark, they just keep on coming! This April, Landmark Home Warranty was announced as Utah’s Best of State in Home and Appliance Services for the second year running.
Chris Smith, President of Landmark Home Warranty, said the company was humbled to be awarded Best of State two years in a row.
“We feel honored and blessed to have been chosen for this prestigious award for the second straight year,” he said. “Our staff has worked tremendously hard over the last year and it feels refreshing for the hard work to be recognized. It is a huge privilege to be associated with so many great companies operating in this state.”
The Best of State award is based on three weighted categories according to the Best of State website: the quality of service that Landmark provides for customers, how Landmark has differentiated itself from the competition and how Landmark has worked to improve the quality of life in the state of Utah and the world. An impartial panel of judges look at the qualifications of each nominee, and decide the best in each category.
Landmark was awarded Best of State in 2015, but winning again in 2016 shows just how much the company has grown over the course of a year. In 2015, the company had 105 employees and a year later, Landmark has surpassed 200. Landmark also changed the operations model for their business over the course of a year. Smith said this change in operations was made to ensure their customers were getting the most remarkable customer service experience possible.
“This new model allows us to better serve our customers and partners in all states we operate,” he said. “We want everyone that comes in contact with our company to be a part of our Landmark Family, whether they work here or are our customers and partners.”
With this new business model and growth in the company, Landmark ensures they’re taking care of the people within their community as well as in the six states where they offer service; Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Texas and Utah. Soon, they plan to expand to other states to bring their award-winning service nation-wide.
Smith said Landmark plans to maintain the growth and excellent customer service in order to become Best of State for the upcoming years as well.
“Our plan is to grow and grow and grow,” he said. “We plan to increase market share in the states we currently operate and enter new markets. We also plan to improve in our day-to-day operations.”
Smith also thanked all of the customers, real estate partners and contractors who helped Landmark Home Warranty become the company it is today. He said because of them, they always try to do better than they did the day before.
“Each day is a new opportunity for us to be better,” Smith said, “ Which is something we continually strive to do!”
