What is a Home Warranty Plumbing Plan?
A home warranty plan is a budget-saving tool for homeowners with any type of home, be it small, large, old, or brand new. When a homeowner has a home warranty plan, they are prepared for the unexpected happening with their systems and appliances: their inevitable yet unpredictable breakdown.
Of course, no homeowner knows exactly when their home’s systems and appliances will fail. Each system and appliance has an average lifespan, but that doesn’t guarantee that each will last exactly that amount. A home warranty plan helps homeowners be slightly more in control of their budgets so that when a system or appliance does inevitably fail, they can call their home warranty provider. As long as the repair or replacement is covered under their plan, they will pay only a service call fee.
What is Included in Heater Warranty Plumbing Coverage?
Home warranty plans cover many systems and appliances in a home, but at Landmark, all plans include plumbing home warranty coverage. When items like your home’s water heater, toilet, shower, or faucets stop working, it can cause a major problem. Not only might the bathrooms be out of service, but now homeowners have to deal with the added stress of finding a plumber and coordinating with them to repair the part of the plumbing system that failed. With a plumbing warranty, the home warranty company will coordinate with a qualified plumber to come out and diagnose the failed part in the plumbing system. If the repair is covered by the home warranty contract, the homeowner will only have to pay a service call fee to have their repair completed.
The most basic home warranty plans that Landmark offers include coverage on a home’s:
- Water heater (gas, electric, or tankless)
- Toilets
- Shower heads and arms
- Faucets
- Diverter, ball, and gate valves
- Pressure regulators
- And more!
Some more expansive plans include even more plumbing warranty coverage. Take a look at the plans that Landmark offers in your state to see what other items are included in the home warranty plumbing coverage.
Which Plan Should You Pick for Home Warranty Plumbing Coverage?
If you’ve lived in your home for longer than 30 days, you can choose between two main plans:
The Home Systems Plan, which offers coverage on a home’s electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems. This includes the home warranty plumbing coverage shown above.
The Total Protection Plan, which includes everything in the Home Systems Plan, but adds coverage on the home’s main appliances, such as the refrigerator, oven, and washer and dryer.
If you’re ready to purchase one of these plans, then…
If you’ve lived in your home less than 30 days, or if you’re currently in the process of purchasing the home, you can look at Landmark’s real estate plans. These plans offer the same plumbing home warranty coverage discussed above in the most basic of plans.
If you live in Texas, Arizona or Nevada, you can get more enhanced home warranty plumbing coverage by selecting the Advantage Plan. This includes:
